The Sunforgettable SPF 30 brush from Colorescience Pro recently earned the Skin Cancer Foundation’s new “Active” Seal of Recommendation. The Seal is awarded to products meeting The Skin Cancer Foundation’s criteria for effective UV sun protection products. To qualify, the product was reviewed by an independent committee of photobiologists, experts in the study of the interaction of ultraviolet radiation and the skin.

The criteria encompass new UVA protection standards and categorization of sunscreens based on intended use. The “Active” designation is for products that protect consumers from extended sun exposure during recreational activities, such as outdoor sports. The products also must be water resistant.
